The church was founded as the Cathcart Congregational Church in 1921, serving as a spiritual home for its congregation for decades.

The church was founded as the Cathcart Congregational Church in 1921, serving as a spiritual home for its congregation for decades.
Struggling times and near closure
Over the years, multiple ministers came and went, and the church faced challenges that led to it almost closing down.
Divine connections and Pastor Andrew Akilan
The building was given to Pastor Andrew Akilan, who was called to re-establish the church and continue pastoring the existing congregation.
Rebirth as Lead Church
With the support of the Church of God World Mission, the church was re- planted as Lead Church, embarking on a new journey.
Baptism is a public celebration of moving from death to life through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that baptism is one of the most powerful ways we can carry the name of Jesus to the world, and the first step of obedience, as we follow the example of Jesus through baptism.
